Opporunities for Growth and Service

A church that isn't serving and growing isn't being the body of Christ.  AHCOC is committed to maturing all Christians in their faith and in their walk with God.  To achieve this goal, AHCOC offers a variety of ministries for all ages and for meeting many needs.  Below are descriptions of many of these ministries.

Small GroupsBecause we believe so strongly in the need for indepth Bible study, we implemented small groups as the foundation for our "Sunday" evening worship.  There are several groups that meet in various locations, including the church building, homes, and anywhere else the Spirit  may lead.  Some groups meet on nights other than Sunday, so check with us to see if there is a group that is meeting at a time and place convenient to you.

Prime Timers

Prime Timers meets 3+ times each month for fellowship, encouragement, and of course, food.  From snacks on semi-monthly Game Days to the full spread on their Third Saturday Dinner, this groups spends time supporting one another and having lots of fun.

Kids Town Rocks

Each Wednesday night our children gather for games, crafts, and Bible study in our beautifully decorated Kids Town.  With the help of dedicated, fun-loving teachers, our children learn about the blessings, power, and responsibilities of all Christians.

Kids for  Christ

Kids love God.  Kids love serving.  Kids love fun. Kids even love learning, as long as its active and hands on.  So, in addition to Kids Town Rocks, children in 3rd to 5th grades have opportunities throughout the year to get together for devotionals and good times.  Outing might include swimming parties, bowling, open gym, and many others.

Cool Corpus Christi Christians

Our youth program, called C4, loves to get together to sing and study God's Word. We meet for Devos (short for devotionals) every Sunday night and several other times throughout the month. Opportunities for service to others, fellowship and encouragement, and personal growth are always a part of the C4 program.

Leadership Training for  Christ

LTC, as it is more commonly known, is another great opportunity for children and youth.  LTC is a training program that allows children Grades 3 to 12 to learn how to use their talents for the One who gave them.  From Bible Bowl to Song Leading to Puppets to Art, LTC let's kids discover that whatever gifts God has given them they can be used to his glory.  LTC culminates in an annual convention in Dallas, TX, on Easter weekend where over 6,000 (Yes, 6000) children meet together to celebrate and showcase God's gifts to them.

Bread for Life

Bread for Life Pantry is a mission of  AHCOC's benevolence ministry.  Located in the building adjacent to the Corpus Christi Food Bank, Bread for Life distributes food to hundreds of need families every month.  Though man cannot live by bread alone, he cannot live without it at all.  Bread for Life was established to help meet the needs of the struggling.

Ladies Ministry

The ladies of AHCOC are active in Bible studies, retreats, luncheons, and benevolence.  With Bible classes for those interested in topical studies or needing support for crises, the Ladies Ministry is there.
