Our Ministries
Children:
Kid's Town is an exciting place for kids to
learn about Jesus. In addition to our Bible classes
for all ages on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, we have a Bible Hour
program for children (3 years old through the 3rd grade). Bible Hour takes place
during worship on Sunday mornings. Bible Hour is a special time
when puppets help teach Bible lessons and kids have some "wiggle room" and get
to sing age appropriate songs. In the summer we also host a VBS and a Kid's Town
Reading Camp.
Youth Group: Our teens here meet every Sunday and
Wednesday for worship and fellowship. Besides those meeting times we meet
for many other events. Some fun, some service, some just for studying the
Bible. We are very busy in the summer, going from service weeks to camps
to missions trips. All of which share the goal of developing spiritually
minded young adults. We also help teach VBS. If you are between
sixth and twelfth grade come join us. We love visitors!
Prime Timers: We have special activities for our "Young at Heart" members on
a regular basis. Twice a month we gather to enjoy each other's company and some
card and board games. And we are very proud of the 6 apartments built on
our property for our widows. For over 20 years we've had a ministry to the
residents of Lynnhaven Nursing Home and have added River Ridge Nursing Home to
our monthly activity.
Missions: We support missions such as Search T.V.,
Buck Griffith's prison ministry, Ronnie Talbert's prison ministry, and Work in Venezuela. We also support a
few other mission fields.
Mother's Day Out: This program is for children from 2 years old to 5
years old. It operates from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays during
the school year. The kids enjoy socializing and structured activities and the
Moms get a "breather." There is a charge for this program.
Free Workshop: For the past 10 years we've offered a free workshop
for those in our community who have lost loved ones. We call the session
"Preparing for the Holidays." The workshop is held in the dining room of our
family center at 2722 Rand Morgan in Corpus Christi, TX (near Interstate 37).

Caring Cancer Ministry: We provide free literature to cancer
patients. The material is written by Randy Becton, a cancer survivor. Randy has
a radio program called "The Caring Touch" on the
Herald of Truth web site.
